Gear      I play Worland guitars exclusively.  Worland guitars can be found on the links page.  Pictures of my guitars can be seen in the  gallery pages.      I play three of Jim's guitars on a regular basis, both in the studio and for live performance.  Jim made an OM for me about six years ago.  The OM has a cedar top and rosewood back and sides. The neck is 1 and 3/4 at the nut.  This is the desired neck width for finger style guitar.  The cedar brings out a deep and warm sound that projects very well for a small bodied guitar. Jim also did the inlay work on the guitar which was designed by Jim and I.      My second guitar was made recently by Jim and is a jumbo concert, designed for delicate play but awesome projection.  The sound is crisp and detailed.  The top is sitka spruce and the sides and back rosewood.  This guitar is a wonderful player with a fast neck and great action.      My latest addition is another Om with a sitka spruce top and indian rosewood back and sides. This is a simple guitar but has excellent action and sounds great.      Both guitars are equipped with the Amulet system designed by Gary at Trance Audio.  The system is comprised of two transducers which are glued to the sound board under the bridge.  A five pin cord and a preamp box supply an incredible amount of gain suitable for both recording and playing live.  The transducers produce a true stereo image that sounds great.  The Amulet is played through a small rack which includes an Alesis EQ and a vintage TC Electronics 1210 Spatial Expander which was used by the late, great Michael Hedges on his recordings.  The result is a huge stereo sound the captures the wonderful dynamics of each guitar.  My latest guitar has an LRBaggs active IBeam.      The pa of choice is a Deluxe Fender Passport system which is perfect for medium to small venues.  Many compliments have been given on the natural sound this system projects.
